The Human Development and Family Studies Excellence Fund

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies is well known for its high quality research, instruction, Child Development Lab, Family Resiliency Center, and outreach programs.  Gifts in support of the Human Development and Family Studies Excellence Fund allow departmental leadership to address the most pressing needs and greatest opportunities to advance the department’s mission to  address contemporary social issues that affect children, youth, adults, and families through high quality research, teaching, and outreach.  These gifts provide immediate positive impact to support students through scholarships, graduate awards, experiential learning opportunities, faculty research, travel awards, and staff support to name just a few examples.

Child Development Laboratory Fund

The Child Development Lab focuses on teaching, research and outreach activities, while simultaneously providing high-quality early care and education services for enrolled children and their families. Gifts to this fund support activities of the lab; faculty, staff, and University students in their work; and the enrolled children. Learn more at

The Family Resiliency Center Fund

The Family Resiliency Center (FRC) is a transdisciplinary research and policy center that addresses challenges associated with food and family. A leader in translating research into practical information, the FRC educates the next generation of researchers, practitioners, and community leaders. The Autism Project Fund

The Autism Program (TAP) is a community-focused program, providing families and professionals with information and materials, while facilitating collaborations between agencies, schools, and individuals that enhance the community’s capacity and quality of services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. TAP also develops and evaluates models in training, treatment, and support and facilities. Learn more at

Child Care Resource Service Fund

The Child Care Resource Service provides resources, links, and education to build successful families, quality early and school-age care, and strong communities where children matter most. Gifts to this fund support programs and services in a six-county area of East Central Illinois. Learn more at

Illinois Neurodiversity Initiative Support Fund

Your donation to the Illinois Neurodiversity Initiative (I-N-I) supports neurodivergent Illini through providing program scholarships, sponsoring events (Parent Weekend, Social Nights), connecting students to employers, and supporting students in academics, mental health, and social engagement.
